Donjoy Reddie Hinged Knee Brace

The Donjoy Reddie Hinged Knee Brace is a wraparound knee support  with bilateral hinges. These geared hinges offer a lot of weight distribution, and allows those with knee pain to spend more time on their feet than they normally would.

The hinges placed on each side of the brace offer very high level of support, it assists the bending of the knee and prevents twisting, protecting the knee ligaments and the joint.

The knee brace is held securely with straps making it ideal for people with mobility issues (esp. for the older patient), or pain that makes it difficult to pull a knee brace up the leg and over the knee.

It also offers support to the patella. When the knee brace is worn, the material wraps around the thigh and the calf, and around the knee cap, but leaves a gap around the patella itself. This means the neoprene material of the knee brace give slight pressure around the area and would prevent the kneecap from freely moving, if the user suffers from this.

As a wraparound knee support it is designed to be fitted quickly and easily, it is a perfect support for those who wish to take the knee brace off and on throughout the day. The majority of knee supports and knee braces are pull on designs, meaning shoes need to be removed in order to get them on. Though as this is a wrap around design, it can be put on very simply and easily, and then secured with the long straps Velcro straps.

Indications
Ideal for:-

• mild MCL and/or LCL sprains,

• post arthroscopic menisectomy,

• mild global instabilities.

The Donjoy Reddie Hinged Knee Brace is also ideal for mild arthritis, as it provides a very high level of compression and warmth, preventing the knee from seizing up.

Sizing Guide
In order to get the correct size, you need to start by standing with your legs shoulder-width apart, legs slightly bent and muscles contracted. Once in this position, measurement should be taken 15cm (6") above mid kneecap (see image below)
